On September 19, 2017, a delegation from the University of Nebraska, Omaha, came to the College of Art for an exchange visit. The visiting members were the Vice President of NU, Professor Snett Scott. Deputy Director of the Asia-Pacific Development Program Dr. Tong Zenghan, Dr. Dylan Petit, Dr. Peter Madsen and the Jazz combo I from the College of music of SCAU. At 3 pm, a Sino-US exchange symposium was held in the conference room on the eighth floor of the school administration building. The meeting was attended by the Vice President of SCAU Liu Yahong, Director of the International Exchange Office Feng Lixin, Deputy Director of Yuan Juhua and teachers from the College of Art, College of Mathematics and Informatics, College of Public Management and College of Foreign Studies. The Vice Dean of the College of Art Mr. Zheng Yanwen, teacher Zhu Hong, and teacher Li Le also attended the forum.
At the meeting, Mr. Zhu introduced to Vice-President Scott and his delegation the development, academic achievements and training of the College of Art. Vice Dean Zheng Yan wen also discussed with Vice-President Scott on the feasibility of some projects such as sending exchange students to American and basically determined how to conduct these exchange programs.
